How does the card_name compare to other cards?
card_name vs. card_name
discontinued_disclaimer
card_name offers a rewards structure that’s similar to card_name. You earn 3X ThankYou® Points for every dollar spent at restaurants, hotels, gas stations, supermarkets, and on air travel. All other purchases earn 1X point per dollar. Citi is a CardRatings advertiser.
The biggest difference between the two cards lies in the benefits offered with card_name and how points can be redeemed. For instance, you can get a $100 annual hotel savings benefit and the introductory rewards bonus is more than double what you’d get with card_name. New cardholders can earn 75,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after spending $4,000 in the first three months of account opening, redeemable for $750 in gift cards or travel rewards at thankyou.com with the card_name card.
ThankYou® Points can be redeemed for travel, shopping, gift cards or cash back. You have the option to transfer your points to participating travel partners, which include TrueBlue, Virgin Airlines and Singapore Airlines. The minimum transfer is 1,000 points and Citi doesn’t charge a fee to use your ThankYou® Points this way.
card_name vs. card_name
discontinued_disclaimer
card_name offers slightly fewer points on travel purchases and a little more on everyday purchases. With this card you earn 2X points for every dollar spent on travel and dining, along with 1.5X points per dollar on all other purchases. Points are unlimited.
You could earn even more rewards value as a Bank of America Preferred Rewards member. Members earn 25% to 75% more points on every purchase. That translates to earning 2.5 to 3.5 points on travel and dining and 1.87 to 2.62 points on all other purchases.
There is also an introductory bonus with this card, which could allow you to unlock an additional 60,000 online bonus points. You’ll need to make at least $4,000 in purchases within 90 days of account opening. Bonus points are worth $600 in redemption value.
card_name cardholders also get access to travel benefits that card_name lacks. For instance, you can get up to $100 in airline incidental statement credits annually. You can also take advantage of up to $100 credit toward TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application fees every four years.
This card carries a annual_fees annual fee.
Is the card_name a good card?
The card_name is a good card for people who routinely spend on travel, gas, transportation and dining out. The card’s rewards structure is simple and straightforward, with multiple ways to redeem points earned.
You might find another travel card that you like better if you’re looking for a longer list of benefits or perks, such as airport lounge access, free checked bags or TSA PreCheck/Global Entry fee credits. However, keep in mind that the more benefits a card offers, the more likely you are to pay an annual fee in order to enjoy them.

Our Methodology
Survey methodology: CardRatings commissioned Op4G in September 2023 to conduct surveys among 1,869 cardholders nationwide. CardRatings website analytics from Jan. 1, 2023-Aug. 31, 2023 were used to determine a selection of the most popular cards and additional cards were included to add survey breadth. Responses to each of nine questions were given on a scale of 1-10 and respondents’ scores were then averaged under broad topics. To determine the overall score, responses from questions 1-8 were summed and the answer to "How likely are you to recommend this card to a friend, coworker or family member?" was double weighted. Current Scores reflect scores from the most recent survey (2023); “Past Scores” reflect scores from the 2022 survey.
