Business owners who spend large sums on select purchases can benefit from the rewards that the card_name provides. This card rewards heavy spenders with 2.5% cash back on large purchases. What’s considered large? Purchases that cost $5,000 or more.

So put another way, if you buy some business equipment costing $4,999, you’ll get the usual 2% cash back. But if you spend a little more and purchase something for $5,000 or more, you’ll earn 2.5% cash back on that purchase.

Breaking it down a bit, if you make a purchase for $4,999, that’s $99.98 in cash you’d earn (2%).

If you buy something that costs $5,000, you’ll get $125 in rewards (2.5%), and if you make a $10,000 purchase, you’ll get $250 cash back (again, 2.5%).

Also worth noting: this card offers 5% cash back on Lyft rides through March 2025, as well as unlimited 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase Travel.

  • A large welcome bonus for new cardholders. You’ll earn $1,000 cash back if you spend $10,000 on purchases within your first three months of opening an account.
  • Generous rewards. You’ll get 2% cash back on all purchases; if you make a purchase that’s $5,000 or more, you’ll earn 2.5% cash back.
  • Flex for Business. This credit card is really more of a charge card, designed to be paid off in full every month. (Which makes sense. It’s not a great business move to carry debt month after month.) That said, for some businesses, the card_name will assign a portion of your credit to allow qualifying purchases to be paid over time, with interest. You won’t know, however, what purchases are qualifying purchases until you are approved for the card.
  • Consumer protections. There are quite a few, such as zero liability protection, purchase protection and extended warranty protection. There is also robust cell phone protection ($1,000 per claim), protecting you from covered theft and damage for you and your employees, provided your phone bills are paid with your card.
  • No foreign transaction fee. No need to worry about extra credit card fees for your next international business trip.

Potential downsides of the card_name

There aren’t many downsides to the card_name but every credit card has something that somebody won’t like. Here are som edrawbacks to consider:

  • There’s an annual fee. It’s annual_fees. If you spend a lot, you can easily earn that back and then some, but with any annual fee, you’ll have to ask yourself if it’s worth paying.
  • It’s a charge card. That is, it’s designed to be paid off in full every month. Yes, some purchases may qualify for the "Flex for Business" feature, but for a business that struggles to maintain cash flow and may need to often carry a balance, that may be a strike against this card.
  • You need good to excellent credit to qualify for this card. That’s not a negative at all, of course, if you have good to excellent credit. But if you’re still working to build your credit you’ll need to consider another option.

  • card_name offers a welcome bonus of 90,000 bonus points after you spend $8,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. That’s $900 cash back or $1,125 toward travel when redeemed through Chase Travel℠.
  • You’ll earn 3X points per dollar spent on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories: shipping; internet, cable, and phone services; advertising purchases; and travel; and 1X point per dollar on everything else. There are no limits on what you can earn.
  • The annual fee is annual_fees which is less than the card_name‘s annual fee.

If the card_name card feels a bit too rich for you blood, you may want to consider the card_name, also a Chase offering, instead.

  • If you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first three months, you’ll earn $750 bonus cash back. So a generous wad of cash, but you’ll spend less than what’s required with the card_name to earn it.
  • You’ll earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase with no limits to what you can earn. It’s not 2% or 2.5% like the card_name card, but it’s still pretty good. Especially considering the fact that there is no annual fee.

Who is a good fit for the card_name?

If you’re a business owner who makes a lot of big business purchases, and the idea of getting 2.5% cash back on those – and 2% cash back on anything else (purchases under $5,000), the card_name is a business credit card that is definitely worth considering. But only if you are confident that you can easily pay back what you buy every month, in full.
