Rewards Credit Cards for Cash Back

Citi® Double Cash Card - 18 month BT offer

Here’s a fun fact: this card earns you cash back not once, but twice! With the Citi® Double Cash Card - 18 month BT offer you’ll earn 1% cash back when you buy, plus 1% cash back as you pay for those purchases (you must make at least the minimum payment on time to earn cash back). And the best part of all is that you’ll earn unlimited cash back on every purchase made – and there’s no annual fee. Citi is a CardRatings advertiser

There’s also an introductory offer of 0% APR for 18 months on balance transfers; after that the variable APR will be 13.99% – 23.99% (Variable), based on your creditworthiness. Be aware though that there is a balance transfer fee of 3% of each balance transfer; $5 minimum.


Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi

For the crowd that likes to buy their ketchup in bulk, but also wants cash back things like gas and travel, this is the card for you. There's no annual fee (besides your Costco membership fee) and cardholders earn 4% cash back on up to $7,000 worth of eligible gas purchases; 3% back at restaurants and on eligible travel purchases; 2% back on purchases and Costco and Costco.com; and 1% back on other purchases.

Cash back earned is awarded annually in the form of a credit card reward certificate that can be redeemed for cash or merchandise at U.S. Costco warehouses.

New cardholders can rack up $300 cash back after spending $3,000 in the first three months. This is one of the better cash-back bonus offers on the market.

With this card you’ll earn 4% back on your dining and entertainment purchases (if eating at fancy-pants restaurants is your thing), 2% back at grocery stores and 1% back on everything else. The annual fee is $0 intro for first year; $95 after that and you won’t be charged foreign transaction fees, so feel free to take your food hobby global.

By the way, if you’re intrigued by the rewards structure, but aren’t sure about paying an annual fee, check out the no-annual-fee Capital One® SavorOne® Cash Rewards Credit Card, (This card is not currently available on CardRatings) which offers 3% back on dining and entertainment, 2% at grocery stores and 1% on all other purchases.


Wells Fargo Cash Wise Visa® card

New cardholders can earn $150 in cash rewards after spending just $500 in the first three months; plus, if you’re a digital wallet user, you’ll appreciate earning 1.8% per $1 spent on your qualifying digital wallet purchases – like those with Apple Pay® and Google Pay™ – during your first 12 months. 

Annual Fee: $0

On an ongoing basis, earn 1.5% cash back on every purchase and save money while enjoying some peace of mind with up to $600 in cellular phone protection when you pay your monthly cellular bill on your card.


Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

Enjoy a $150 cash-back bonus after spending just $500 on purchases in the first three months. On an ongoing basis, use this card to earn 1.5% cash back on all your purchases everyday with no spending caps or specific categories to keep up with and rest assured knowing your points won’t expire for the life of the account. Enjoy a 0% intro period of 15 months on purchases and balance transfers (there's a 3% fee on transfers made in that first 15 months). After the intro period, the interest rate goes to 15.49% - 25.49% (Variable).

No annual fee.

If you’re looking for a good card to take abroad, this one fits the bill as you won’t be charged foreign transaction fees, but you will receive travel accident protection against covered incidents as well as rental car collision coverage. Not bad perks at all for a card that doesn’t charge an annual fee.

NO ANNUAL FEE, STILL REWARDING:

If you’re someone with average, fair, limited credit who is looking for a rewards card, you could consider the Capital One® QuicksilverOne® Cash Rewards Credit Card (This card is not currently available on CardRatings), which charges a $39 annual fee but still offers 1.5% cash back on every purchase.

U.S. Bank Cash+™ Visa Signature® Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

A unique no-annual-fee card that allows users to select two categories from a list of several each quarter in which they’ll earn 5% cash back on the first $2,000 in combined spending in those categories. Earn 2% back in an "everyday" choice category such as gas or at grocery stores and earn 1% back on everything else.

Receive a $150 cash-back bonus after you spend $500 on purchases within the first 90 days.

 


Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

Earn $250 after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first three months as a cardholder.

This card has an ongoing rewards earning rate of 6% at U.S. supermarkets (up to $6k spent annually, then 1%) and 6% cash back on select U.S. streaming subscriptions; 3% cash back at U.S. gas stations and on transit including taxis/rideshares, bus and train fares, tolls, parking and more; and 1% cash back on other purchases.

$95 annual fee is NOT waived for the first year.



Fidelity® Rewards Visa Signature® Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

Helping you to simplify saving for retirement, this card allows you to deposit your cash-back rewards directly into Fidelity 401k or other investment accounts. It earns unlimited 2% back on every purchase made, so with regular use, your savings could really add up fast.

Experts recommend that you devote no less than 3% of each paycheck to retirement savings, so this 2% addition could be a nice bonus towards your retirement funds; say you spend an average of $40,000 with your card annually, you’re looking at an additional $800 being funneled into your retirement savings each year – just for using your credit card to take care of everyday purchases like gas and groceries.

Points can also be redeemed for air travel, gift certificates, cash, hotels and car rentals.


American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card

A simple no-annual-fee cash-back card for your business. Earn 2% cash back on all eligible purchases, up to $50k per calendar year and 1% after that. Cash back earned is automatically credited to your account statement.

You can also take advantage of an introductory 12 months no interest on purchases. After the intro, the APR becomes 13.24% - 19.24% Variable.





Balance Transfer/0% Offer Credit Cards

Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card

Thanks to an intro 0% APR on balance transfers for 18 months from date of first transfer (all transfers must be completed in four months) as well as 18 months on purchases from date of account opening, this card is ideal for anyone looking to consolidate and get rid of existing debt without incurring high interest, or for a person planning to make a big purchase and who needs some extra time to pay it off. Regular APR of 14.74% - 24.74% Variable applies after the introductory periods expire.

Using this card doesn’t earn traditional rewards like miles or points, however saving money on interest charges could be worth more than rewards to you right now. With no annual fee to worry about, this card could make a nice addition to your wallet.

Rewards Credit Cards for Travel

These cards are for people who like to travel – people who intend to travel lots. Some people just want the cash. Those people can check below for a list of cards with decent cash bonuses.

Citi Rewards+ Card

As the only credit card that automatically rounds up to the nearest 10 points on every purchase with no cap, this card is a great way to earn rewards fast. Earn two ThankYou® Points at supermarkets and gas stations for the first $6,000 you spend with the card in those categories each year, and then one point beyond that, as well as on every other purchase you make. Because of the point roundup, a $2 coffee would earn 10 points, a $26 dinner 30, etc.

Earn 15,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 with the card within the first three months of opening an account, which is worth $150 in gift cards at thankyou.com.

There is a no annual fee, and as an added bonus, you’ll get 10% of your points back for the first 100,000 ThankYou® Points you redeem per year. For example, if you redeem 50,000 points, you’ll get 5,000 points back.

The Platinum Card® from American Express

American Express is a CardRatings advertiser

Earn 60,000 of those valuable Membership Rewards® points after you spend $5k in the first three months of card membership. Also, enjoy five points per $1 spent on flights booked directly with airlines or through American Express Travel as well as on hotel stays booked through amextravel.com. You'll earn one point per $1 on all your other purchases.

The $550 annual fee is significantly offset by a $200 airline fee credit for baggage fees and more with one pre-selected airline and up to $200 Uber savings annually.

Cardholders also can enjoy complimentary airport lounge access around the globe.

Capital One® VentureOne® Rewards Credit Card

The no-fee little sister to the Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card above. Get 20,000 bonus miles, equal to $200 in travel, after spending $1k in three months. No annual Fee. No foreign transaction fee. Your miles can be redeemed as cash back in the form of statement credits for travel expenses. That means that if you charge air, bus, taxi or hotel expenses to this card you can submit a request for those expenses to be credited back to your account. Plus, you can transfer your miles to numerous leading travel loyalty programs. Each dollar you spend is worth 1.25 miles.


Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

You can earn 50,000 miles, equal to $500 in travel after spending $3k in three months. The annual fee is reasonable at $0 intro for first year; $95 after that and you won't pay foreign transaction fees. Redeem your miles directly to book travel or erase travel purchases you've already made and request a refund for travel you've booked on using your card. That means that if you charge air, bus, taxi, hotel or other eligible travel expenses to this card, you can submit a request for those expenses to be credited back to your account.

Each dollar you spend is worth two miles, which essentially means you get 2% back on all purchases.  You can fly any airline, stay at any hotel, anytime and you don't have to worry about blackout dates. Plus, you can now transfer your miles to numerous travel loyalty programs

Wells Fargo Propel American Express® card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

This card has returned with some impressive new features and a healthy bonus opportunity to get things started. Earn 20,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000 in the first three months (worth $200 in cash redemption value). Save money with an introductory 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months (then, 13.99%-25.99% Variable). Note that balance transfer fees apply and transfers made within 120 days qualify.

You’ll earn three times the points in these categories: eating out and ordering in; travel, including airfare, hotels, homestays and car rentals; on your gas station, rideshare and transit purchases; and on popular streaming services. That’s an excellent earning rate on a card with no annual fee.

This is a Wells Fargo card that offers you up to $600 in cell phone protection when you pay your monthly cellular bill on your card.


American Express® Gold Card

American Express Membership Rewards® are highly valued among the travel rewards-seeking community. You'll earn 35,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $4,000 on eligible purchases with your new Card within the first three months. Earn 4X Membership Rewards® points at restaurants worldwide. Also earn 4X the Membership Rewards® points at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 in purchases per year, after which you earn 1X). Earn 3X Membership Rewards® points on flights booked directly with airlines or on amextravel.com. 

Your benefits continue with the ability to earn up to $10 in statement credits monthly when you pay with the American Express® Gold Card at Grubhub, Seamless, The Cheesecake Factory, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Boxed and at participating Shake Shack locations. This is an annual savings of up to $120 (enrollment required). Receive up to $100 in statement credits per calendar year for incidental fees with one pre-selected airline. Citi Premier Card

Rake in 60,000 bonus ThankYou® points after you spend $4,000 in the first three months of card membership. Those points are worth up to $750 in airfare when redeemed through the ThankYou® Travel Center or $600 in gift cards.

The annual fee is $95.

The current bonus offer is higher than we’re used to seeing on this card, so it’s a great time to apply if you’ve been looking for a general travel rewards credit card. Plus, ThankYou® points are transferable to a number of airline loyalty programs or redeem your points through the ThankYou® Travel Center and they’re worth 25% more.

Rewards Credit Cards For Hotels

Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card

This card is offering the opportunity to earn 125,000 bonus points for spending $2,000 in eligible purchases in the first three months of card membership. Plus, you'll earn a weekend night reward stay each calendar year you spend at least $15,000 on your card.

Annual fee is $95.

This is a solid hotel-branded card to keep in rotation for even your everyday purchases since you’ll earn six points per $1 spent at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets and U.S. gas stations and three points per $1 everywhere else. That’s in addition to the 12 points per $1 spent at participating Hilton portfolio properties. Furthermore, cardholders receive 10 complimentary airport lounge visits each calendar year after a one-time signup for Priority Pass™ Select.


Hilton Honors American Express Card

This is the rare no-annual-fee hotel rewards card and it’s a good one.

Earn seven Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible purchases charged directly with a hotel or resort within the Hilton Honors portfolio of brands; earn five points per $1 at U.S. supermarkets, U.S. gas stations and U.S. restaurants; and earn three points per $1 on everything else.

It’s somewhat unusual for a branded card to offer bonus rewards outside of spending with that specific brand, but this card does just that. Plus, you can earn 75,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on your new card in the first three months.

 


The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

Welcome offer: Earn 125,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after your spend $3,000 on the card in the first three months.

Annual fee is $95.

In addition to the rewards you’ll earn on your Hilton stays as well as on your business and travel purchases (among other purchases), you can also earn two weekend night stays per calendar year. Earn your first night after spending $15,000 and earn another night by spending an additional $45,000 in the same calendar year. You’ll also receive 10 complimentary airport lounge visits each calendar year after a one-time signup for Priority Pass™ Select.


Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

This card offers a nice 75,000 point bonus, earned once spending $3,000 within the first three months of opening an account. Additionally, users earn six points for every $1 spent at over 6,700 participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels; four points per $1 at U.S. restaurants, U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers and on U.S. purchases for shipping; and two points per $1 on all other eligible purchases.

There's an annual fee of $125, but this cost is easily offset with the Free Night Award (valued up to 35,000 points) that’s awarded each year after your account anniversary. Plus, earn an additional Free Night Award after you spend $60,000 in purchases on your card in a calendar year.


Rewards Credit Cards For Airlines

Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard®

Earn 50,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after you spend $2,500 in the first three months with your card. There is a nice bonus on this card, so it could be a good time to apply. Earn two AAdvantage® miles for every $1 spent at gas stations, restaurants and on eligible American Airlines purchases. Also earn a $125 American Airlines Flight Discount after you spend $20,000 or more in purchases during your card membership year and renew your card.

Annual fee: $99, waived for first 12 months

There are no foreign transaction fees and your first checked bag is free on domestic American Airlines itineraries for you and up to four companions traveling with you on the same reservation. Enjoy preferred boarding on American Airlines flights and receive 25% savings on in-flight food and beverage purchases when you use your card on American Airlines flights.


Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard®

Earn 50,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles after you spend $5,000 in purchases within the first three months of opening your account. Plus, each year you spend at least $40,000 on your card, you'll receive 10,000 bonus Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs).

$450 annual fee not waived for the first year.

This card provides Admirals Club® airport lounge access for you and guests with you, so if you really love that Admiral's Club®, this may be the card for you. Additionally, it also reimburses you with up to a $100 credit for your Global Entry or TSA Pre✓® application fee every 5 years. You and up to eight traveling companions can check your first bags for free on domestic itineraries and you'll enjoy priority boarding privileges as well.


American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp Card

Rack up two AAdvantage® miles per $1 on your everyday purchases at grocery stores (including grocery delivery services) and on your American Airlines purchases. Earn one mile per $1 on everything else.

No annual fee.

Earn 10,000 bonus miles and save on your bill with a $50 statement credit after spending $500 on your new card within the first three months.


CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Mastercard®

Earn 65,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after spending $4,000 in purchases within the first 4 months of account opening. It's a decent time to apply if that fits into your plans.

Annual fee: $99, waived for first 12 months

You and up to four traveling companions can check the first bag for free on domestic itineraries. You will also receive a 25% discount on your in-flight WiFi purchases when you use your card. Reward flights are available for as little as 7,500 miles so the intro bonus alone could be enough for multiple round-trip tickets.


Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

Earn 35,000 bonus miles after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new card in your first three months. Plus, spend $10,000 in purchases on your card in a calendar year and receive a $100 Delta flight credit.

You'll also earn rewards not just for Delta purchases, but on all your eligible purchases.

$0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $99. annual fee. Earn 2X miles on Delta purchases, at restaurants worldwide and at U.S. supermarkets. Check your first bag free on Delta flights.


Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

Earn 40,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $2,000 in purchases on your new card in your first three months. Plus, earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new card within the same time frame.

Earn 3X miles on Delta purchases and purchases made directly with hotels; 2X miles at restaurants and at U.S. supermarkets; and 1X mile on all other eligible purchases.

You can more than offset the $250 annual fee thanks to the Companion Certificate you’ll receive each year after your account anniversary.


Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card

$0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $99.

Take advantage of perks such as a free checked bag and priority boarding. Additionally, take $100 off your next Delta flight - after you spend $10,000 in purchases on your card in a calendar year, you will earn a $100 Delta Flight Credit to use toward future travel.


Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

Earn 45,000 bonus miles and 5,000 MQMs after you spend $3,000 on purchases on your new card in the first three months. Also, earn a $100 statement credit after making your first Delta purchase on your new card. Get closer to Medallion® status with Status Boost™. Spend $25,000 in purchases on the card in a calendar year and earn 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs); spend a total of $50,000 in eligible purchases on the card in a calendar year and earn an additional 10,000 MQMs. MQMs are used to determine Medallion status and are different from the miles you earn toward flights. You'll earn 3X miles for every dollar spent on eligible purchases made with Delta and on purchases made directly with hotels; 1.5X miles per dollar on single eligible purchases of $5,000 or more (that's an extra half point per dollar), up to 50,000 additional miles per year; and 1X mile on all other eligible purchases.

Annual fee of $250.

Check your first bag for free plus enjoy priority boarding and 20% savings on eligible in-flight purchases in the form of a statement credit.


Delta SkyMiles® Blue American Express Card

Earn 10,000 bonus miles after you spend $500 in purchases on your new card in your first three months. On an ongoing basis, earn 2X miles per dollar at restaurants, now worldwide, as well as on Delta purchases. Earn 1X mile on all other eligible purchases. That’s a nice earning rate for a branded card that doesn’t charge an annual fee.

Branded cards that offer you more than one mile per $1 spent on anything outside of the brand are fantastic options for people who do appreciate the discounted or free reward flights from time to time, but don't really fly enough to rack up miles on purchases with the airline alone.



Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card

(This card is not currently available on CardRatings)

This elite business card is for the truly Delta loyal business travelers.

The $550 annual fee gets you access to Delta Sky Club® lounges around the globe and you’ll offset that fee to a large degree with the round-trip companion certificate you receive each year after your account anniversary.

Earn 45,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $4,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. With Status Boost™, earn 15,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $30,000 in purchases on your new card in a calendar year, up to four times per year getting you closer to Medallion Status. MQMs are used to determine Medallion Status and are different from the miles you earn toward flights.
