Just applied for the Amex Platinum.
I'm kinda bummed that they don't have instant approvals for this card. I spoke with a CSR who was extremely friendly and very helpful. He said the approval process for Platinum is more in-depth and they have a team of analysts that review each app and investigates thoroughly before approval.
I thought they would jump at the chance to take my $450 AF since I was already pre-approved for the Gold.
