I didn't know you can get cash back from a grocery store with a credit card. I always thought you could only do this with a debit card. Or is this only allowed with a Discover card? I'm confused. If they really allow people to take cash back with a credit card, I'm gonna do it every single time. Free rewards. Why not?

It is just discover....people have reported being able to do this at Sam's club also....but maybe just with their branded card....hardly worth the time in my opinion unless in the future discover has a 5% promotion for groceries....

Yeah just the Discover has this feature I believe. Usually after you swipe the card it asks you if you want cash back before anything else. I've never asked for cash back though I hardly use my Discover. Just yesterday I did see the person in front of me at the grocery use it to buy a bottle of water to get cash back.

Mouse, the point is not to earn rebates with Discover. This is an alternate method of getting cash without having to haul around an ATM or debit card in your wallet.
