I JUST RECEIVED A FIRST PREMIER M/C WITH $300 C/L. THE FEE'S WERE $178.00 BILLED ON THE 1ST MONTH.

I CALLED FIRST PREMIER TO CANCEL AFTER REALIZING I REALLY DON'T NEED THIS CARD AND I DIDN'T WANT ALL THOSE FEE'S. I WAS TRANSFERRED TO "DEANNA" AN ACCOUNT SPECIALIST AND TOLD HER I WAS NOT ACTIVATING THIS ACCOUNT AND TO PLEASE CANCEL IT.

AFTER LISTENING TO HER SPEACH ABOUT REPORTING TO 4 CRA'S AND RE-ESTABLISHING CREDIT BLAH,BLAH,BLAH I BEGAN TO EXPLAIN TO HER HOW I HAD ALREADY ESTABLISHED WITH A LOCAL C.U. WITH SEVERAL CAR LOANS AND SEVERAL SIGNATURE LOANS AFTER MY 2000 BK AND I JUST WASN'T GOING TO PAY THESE FEE'S - COULD YOU POSSIBLY REDUCE THESE FEE'S? SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR A VERY SHORT TIME AND SAID SHE REDUCED THEM BY $70 IF I WOULD KEEP THE ACCOUNT OPEN.

I DIDN'T THINK THEY WOULD FLEX ANY BUT THEY DID AND I AM HAPPY.

First, lose the CAPS, within internet etiquette they mean angry shouting, and they're hard to read. Second, don't be happy, you're still paying $100 in fees and shark APRs. Third, lose the card too, a lot of decent banks for beginers out there, Premier isn't one of 'em.

Try a savings account that they put a hold on

CALLED A SECURED CREDIT CARD

You can put a deposit as low as $99 and get a credit limit of $500

I have applied for this card because I have low credit scores and not a real high income, I don't know if I have been approved or not but I figured at least I could build a good credit history then try for a better card.

This is good to hear. Still not a big fan of this card by any means. All Premier Cardholders should call and complain about these fees now!

In my opinion all of these cardholders should close these accounts and wait for a better offer. Its what I did after BK. Premiere offers went straight to the circular file.

With no customers they would have to offer better rates. Whatever is dinging your score will eventually age enough to get you a better offer. I would rather go to a local finance company.
