Amex (Costco) -------I get this free from work so can't ditch this one. I have to use it for work purchases but can also use it for myself. 2% dining out. 3% travel. 1% everything else. (Amex True Earnings or something like that)
Discover ---------My tried & true main card. Spend around $1,500/month with this one. Had it since '95!
Citi Dividends --------Acquired a year or so ago as recommended by this forum. Been great. My only concern is the $300/yr max rebate. I need Mo-rebate, mo-rebate, mooooo rebate!!!! LOL!!!
I can eat up $300 worth in half a year. (Between groceries & gas)
Soooo........thinking along those lines, I was thinkin' about gettin' a Discover Gas Card That leaves me with 4 cards.
Now, maybe I can just sock drawer the "regular" Discover card & just use it every once in a while??? Since I'll get 1% on all the "other" stuff with the Discover Gas Card, right????
TIA for any advice!!!

Ahhhh......now if only I could find something to put in my other back pocket to keep me from tilting over into the passenger seat because of so many cards in there!! LMAO!!!!!
Hey.......wait a sec..........I'll just put it in my "right, back pocket" so that way I'll just be pinned against the driver's side window. Ya, that's it!! That's the ticket!!!
But seriously..............I figure since my regular Discover card doesn't give me any more than 1% on "all other stuff" and since the Discover Gas Card does that too, I guess I'll just leave the regular Discover Card at home for "occasional" purchases. Does that make sense???
P.S. -----------> I should also say, too, have an MBNA Green Bay Packer's VISA due to my wife's obsession with Bret Favre! That card is sock-drawered, but will stay active come ***** or high water 'cuz......well......it's "The Pack!"

"IF" you MUST dump a card try DISCOVER
"IF" you use it at WALMART/SAMS you only get 0.25% MAX
Try getting a WALMART DISCOVER or SAMS DISCOVER

So by "ditch" do you mean leave the card at home and not carry it around for regular use or close the account?

Don't get rid of any of them. If anything you need more cards in case one or more card issuers decide to ratejack you for any reason
