My Significant Other has TWO CitiCard Platinum Plus cards, each of which gives her $300.00/year in rebates on gas, groceries, drugs, etc. They sent her a second application and she innocently filled it out and lo and behold, here comes the second card! I didn't know that was possible, but she's living proof that it is.
Chase Platinum card has virtually the same offer. 5% rebates on gas groceries and a $300.00 annual limit. I also have several brand specific gas cards that give 5% with no annual limit. My favorite is the Hess card from Chase which gives a whopping 10% rebate for the first 90 days!

If you are in the Northeast down through North Carolina or have Wawa stores near you (I think that most are in the Northeast which is why I said Northeast), (I see you are in NJ also Ira), you can get the Wawa Chase card that also gives you 10% back for the first 90 days. You can also use that for gas and they tend to have some of the cheapest gas around. Then it goes down to 4% for wawa purchases, but that still isn't too bad...better than 1%. And, for the first 90 days you also get 2% cash back on everything else. I wish I could keep this deal going permanently! lol
Granted, you get your rebate in Wawa certificates, but if you buy lunch there on occasion or like their coffee it's a great deal. My kids can blow through a 25 dollar certificate in one visit!

Thanks for the great replies gang, I really appreciate it!!!!!!
As for my location, I'm in Southern California, so "Wawa" is totally foreign to me....LOL!!!
I'm wondering about that Hess card. I'd kinda' like to have one with no limit which would be nice for peace of mind. Otherwise, I could go for something like the Chase card, but then I'd have to be constantly rotating gas cards every 4 months or so. Not entirely frustrating, but certainly more card-management than I'd like to do.
NOW FOR THE CARDS..............(I noticed 3 that stood out).......
The "Starbucks" card....(since my wife loves Starbucks). The cardratings.com "featured" card area shows 5% on gas, but I can't see anything about that in the app itself. Anybody know if it is/isn't?? Any max per year???
The Citi-Driver's Edge card........ Looks like 6% for 12 months, then 3% thereafter. Heck, I'd use it for 12 months, then cut it up!!! Anybody know the limit on this one??
Last is HESS!!! Yeehawww!! Looks great......BUT........Who's HESS??? (LOL!) I'm in So Cal. Is HESS afiliated with any gas stations out here??? Also.......any limit on the HESS card??
TIA!!

OK, well I researched HESS & it looks like there are no affiliates in California, so HESS would be out for me.
Anybody on the other two per my questions above???
Starbucks card??
or
Citi Driver's Edge??
Again.....looking for something to either "supplement" or possibly replace having to use Discover Gas Card for 4 months, then sock drawer it & use Citi Dividends for 4 months, then use "supplement" card-x & then start the process over again & repeat!
TIA....again!
