I ran across the Discover Business Card website by accident. I don't recall seeing it mentioned before on the forum, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

The card pays 5% cash back on office supply purchases, 2% cash back on gasoline purchases, and up to 1% cash back on all other purchases. The fine print:
Quote:
Each year, earn a full 5% on your first $2,000 in office supply purchases and a full 2% on your first $2,000 in gas purchases. In addition, earn a full 1% on other purchases in excess of $5,000; your first $5,000 in other purchases earns .25%. Office supply purchases in excess of $2,000 and gas purchases in excess of $2,000 earn Cashback Bonus at the same rate as other purchases.

The interesting thing about this card is that it also features "fee-free PurchaseChecks that earn Cashback Bonus and come with the same rate and payment grace period as your Card."

This card is not for me, but something to consider if one w/o an actual real business can get approved for it.

The purchase check benefit is definitely unique and appealing. I wish my other business cards offered this. Heck, I wish all my cards offered this!

I have been looking at this card but am curious how long these purchase checks will last (seems ripe for abuse...)

I guess the one thing I noticed on the A&D page was the 2% fee if you use a check to pay someone who takes Discover. That's where they'll make the money.

The APR looks pretty competititive though at P+5.24 as we all know you can negotiate lower.
