Cash rewards were not happening back when I had credit and then my issues.

Now I am back in the credit game and LOVE watching the rebates grow.

I am on track to get the 1k rebate from BOA for 50k purchases in 5 years.

I maxed out the potential 60 cash back on gas from doscover already this year.

I am on track to maxe out the 300 cash back on my citi PS card.

I will be some where around $ 100 back on my card I use at restaurants.

In 5 years fomr Jan 1 2006 I should hit about....2900 in rebates give or take.

All it tells me is that I am being charged too much to begin with !!!! But I'll take the rebate!

Well, I originated this topic, so here is my rundown:

MBNA Gold Points Card (my first card): Free watch - which I no longer have

Citi Dividend Platinum Select (main card) - $473.39, and $5 for signing up for paperless statements, $478.39

Chase Cash Plus Rewards - $100 signup bonus, $150 total

AMEX Business Card - $100 on first purchase

Discover Platinum - $89

HSBC - $25 Best Buy Gift card

So, altogether, $817.39 in cash rebates, a free watch, and a $25 Best Buy gift card. Not bad for almost 2 years!

Pretty soon I'll be doing another $90 for Discover (5% cash back on tuition promotion), and another $80 from Cardoffers for applying for a couple of new cards. So I'll be topping the $1,000 mark soon.

Perhaps you should start a firm specializing in "getting rich" from your cash back rewards!

How did you get $175 off your state farm bill? Did that have something to do with using your credit card to pay and getting a cash reward? Just curious...

you get state farm dollars for every dollar you spend on their card
i was expecting a very large purchase so i split the charge and paid off right when the statement came out

so therefore i got 175.00 .......its state farm dollars but 175 less in insurance this year is a good thing
