Hey guys, I just signed up for a Amazon.com Credit card... I got 30 bucks off my first purchase, which is pretty cool.. but anyway... I really only did it for the discount.. can I just cancel it? and if not, it says no annual fee, so if I have a zero balance, they cant bill me can they? contact me on here, or AIM or YIM!

They'll still send you a statement if there was activity on the account, and of course you'll receive the welcome packet with the terms & conditions if you didn't get it already. You can close the account any time, although it really wouldn't hurt you at all to keep it, and you may be able to earn rewards with it toward future Amazon purchases.

Basically, they'll send you a bill, and you'll have to pay at least the minimum payment by the due date. If you pay the entire balance off before the due date, you won't be paying any interest. If you carry a balance of some sort after the due date, the grace period will be up on that portion, and it will accrue interest.

Well if you have opened the account and then close it, it might look somewhat weird on your credit report, the credit report shows the month/year opened, and then in the comments will show closed, having an account opened for one month and closing it will look like having a job for 2 weeks on a resume, I say just keep the card, they might have future offers (probably not as good as the first).
