Hi all! I just opened an Amex Delta card and was given a 2000.00 CL ( I was hoping to get 5000 CL) . When I applied I did a transfer balance for 1200.00. Is there a way I can have the credit line increased? I have not received the card yet and I read somewhere in this board that you can call Amex before activating your card for a CL increase. Any help or suggestion or previous experience w/ my plan is very much appreciated. what do i tell the Amex people when I give them a call? Thanks!

by the way, my Fico is 677 when i last checked it last week. Thanks again.

You can always just call customer service and ask for a CLI when you activate it. Or you can also just register online and use the AmEx luv button (request credit limit increase). My Delta card came with a 2,400 credit limit, I hit the button and it went up to 8,800.

Good Day,

My name is Torbotek, and I received your card. The limit is a bit lower than i expected. Am I preapproved for a limit increase?

Its THAT simple.

Good Luck.
