Interesting.., I didn't know it didn't apply every month you carry a balance... Yeah, you're right, looks like it's nothing but a grace period killer trick... Thanks for the info, Polonius!
P.S. I know who Ira Stoller is, but who's Detweiler?

Hi QikPass,
I checked out the Blue and noticed the Clear card has 0% up to 12 months and fixed 3.99 apr on balance tranfers with no fee.
What I don't see is the APR on the Blue card for balance transfers after the 15 months.
And I don't see the purchase APR for either card. Do you happen to know what they are?
I assume AMEX doesn't use 2-cycle billing? At least not yet, lol.
Edit:
Sorry, I found some of the APR info on the site. Looks like overall the Clear has lower rates. Any reasons to pick the Blue over it? Thanks much!

Blue, Clear, Optima
really..... is there any difference other than promotions running at different times?
Well.
I think Optima looks the best followed by blue. I find clear unattractive.

I appreciate the reply, but it doesn't help unless you qualify your statements.
not sure what's wrong with the quoting option on this site.
If there is no difference how do you have an opinion on what's best?
I'm looking for opinions on which card would be best for me and my situation currently. Your needs may be different.
