i thought it was kinda neat. my wife and i go to the movies once a week. i dont care about the interest rate, only because we PIF monthly. we also get to double dip on this offer. here's why, the movie theater offers a FREE REWARDS CARD. you know just like safeway. that card also give you free popcorn, tickets. etc

mife wife also has a Macy's credit card just for the special sales for card members. we also PIF monthly. the interest rate is high, just like most store cards.

I used to have the card and didnt keep it for very long. I wasnt a big spender so it never really added up to much.

If you see a movie alot and spend alot on popcorn drinks and candy it may be worthwhile.

For those math dummies out there, to earn 1,200 points at the rate of 4 points earned for every dollar spent at Regal theaters, requires only $300 in spending, not $3,000. If I had this card I would use it only at Regal theaters and use another cash back card (like from Chase or Citi) for other purchases. Movie tickets cost $6.50 or more, so getting one free for $300 in spending is equivalent to over 2 percent cash back. Not bad if you go to the Regal movie theaters often.

Op originally posted 12000 points instead of 1200 points, thus the confusion.
