Aman,
Thats kinda my point in a round a bout way.
Looking at the cards, I see no real difference other than whuch card is running which promotion at any given time. That geing said....choose the promo that best fits your needs and don;t worry about which card it is.

Thanks, I'll have to look them over more carefully. What didn't you like about Clear as the rates looked a little lower? I just want to make sure I get the right one. I didn't know that cards changed so much based on promotions.
Does anyone know if all Chase cards use 2-cycle billing. Mine says average daily balance which is the same as Amex. I wonder if since my card is years old I was grandfathered in to a card that doesn't use 2-cycle billing. I doubt it though as I had it when it was Bank One and card companies tend to change the details of your deal as they see fit.

Many of the newer CHASE cards have two cycle billing. My oldest chase card got convererted to this for of billing after i called in to request a lower rate, so watch out.
Aman, the only reason i prefer the blue is because of the extra 3 months of 0% interest. You would need to run the numbers for yourself and see if its worh taking that card or clear for about a % point lower , no fees, and less 0% time etc.
My personal opinion ( not that it really matters to anyone but myself) is that cards that charge no fees for missing payments etc is a waste of time, because late/missing payments screw up your credit reports/score, and within the company's internal system flag you as a less that A++ customer so that you may not get the very best rates they have to offer.
Just My Two Cents..

I don't have any problems with missed payments. Not sure where I implied a preference for a card that excuses this. I didn't mean to if I did.
I was just looking at the Clear having 3.99 on transfers opposed to 5.99 and the rates for APR were slightly higher with blue as well and no balance transfer fee. I'm no expert so I'm just trying to see if I'm missing something here.
Maybe I'm not even being charged 2-cycle currently, I'm not sure. It says average daily balance.
Either way, switching to a 0 APR with a low APR after that on a transfer is a smart move for me currently. I just have to find the right card.

0.00% BT 2-CYCLE IS THE EXACT SAME INTEREST
(assuming it is PIF 100% before the BT expire date)
