Hi,

I have a HSBC card for about 9 months and wanted to know if they do limit increases on request.
If, yes do they do a soft or hard inq on your report??

In other words - What is the best way to ask for an increase. I have a very small balance on the card with them.

I was wondering the same thing. I've now had my orchard card 6 months. All payments are on time. Curenntly carrying a balance, but I could pay it off if need be. My current limit is only $300.

Chris

patience my boy. CLI's are a shadowy world that us mere mortals will never understand.

Keep up with your orchard and before long you may have offers from real cc companies with more realistic limits

In the meantime. BE PERFECT

I can't speak for anyone else, but my limit is $10,000 with HSBC. I just wanted a little input from others who carry this card.

Can anyone comment on there experience with HSBC and Credit line increases or any other info that would be helpful to all.

Thanks

Call and ask

Or look ON-LINE if they have such a thing

I don't have any credit from that company

Some banks do CLI's after 6 months...some after 9 months...some after a year...some never (AT YOUR REQUEST)

I carry the GM card with them, I’ve had it for two years now, in the two years, I asked for a limit increase once and was declined. However, lo and behold, while paying online, I discovered an automatic limit increase of $1500 a week ago. My original limit was $3500 and is now $5K. I’m thinkin’ they don’t like us askin’ for it, my experience at least.

Oh ya, they'll definitely hit ya with hard inquiry, they're not softies like BofA.

i went online to request for CLI...

i have the card for about 2 years now...

not as generous CL as other banks are, though... but it serves my needs well..

CL is same as yours ($10,000)

so far, its a good experience here..
