Anbody else notice all the Discover ads lately on TV? Some even offering you 20 bucks for calling and signing up in the next 20 minutes. Are people leaving them in droves?
They sent me a by mail solicitation about a month ago and then even called me on the phone about 2 weeks ago asking if I wanted to apply. Told the rep I had their offer and was thinking it over - told her I'd take them up on it right now for one of their 0% lifetime balance transfer offers. She said no, so I said no thanks!
This weekend I finally get myself to the mini apporama I've been working towards and decide to cold app on their web site. Got the thanks for applying email and we'll back to you within 30 days. So guess what comes in the mail today? Yet another solicitation; this time with 0% till June 07 and credit line to 25k. Applying on the web only or throught this site gets you 0% to April 07. Guess I should have waited a couple of days
Oh well, I'm determined to get this 0% BT for life one way or another...

I love the Discover Card!, period!
I think it offers great customer service (Still based in the USA).
I dont think people are leaving so much, as ramping up their customer base is something they should have been doing for the past few years.

Got offered 5.9% good till 5/2010 with up to $60 fee.
My offerings as of late are horrendous across the board but discover came in with the best offer so far. Still worse than my 4.99% good till paid that I am on however.
