Thank You! Rewards is a Citibank product. How worthwhile any non-cash rewards program is depends on what you get for the rewards--and that can change at any time. Right now, 5,000 Thank You redemption points will get you a $50 Shell gas card or various other $50 cards, so each rewards is worth a penny if you regard that "same as cash." (But you can get those Shell gas cards for $40 in various ways, so I'd say a Thank You! rewards point is worth $.008 each ($40 for 5000).

So 5 rewards points for each dollar of spending is great--that works out to 5% or 4% return on each dollar you spend. What card offers 5 Thank You rewards points per dollar?

The AT&T Universal card has this but its only for groceries, gas, drug store purchases and AT&T products and services. The $.01 per point cash value is approximately what I figured as well.

Thanks--I didn't know that.

I'm a Charter member of the AT&T Universal card, which so far as I can tell means I get less in rewards than new members. I don't get 5% or 5 rewards points on the card...
