Hey, I was just checking out my husbands new birthday present, he got a playstation 3 and we are able to access Cardratings on the internet through the playstation.

I am so excited my husband downloaded a few games for me, Zuma and Castlevania (sp?).

Anyway does anyone else have a playstation 3? What games do you like?

Thanks,

Pammila

I have a PS3. I love that it can play blu-ray disks. I have not downloaded any games other then add-on packs from the PS3 network. I have lots of disk games and blu-ray movies that I probably would not have bought if I didn't own the PS3. Even my 74 year old mom has one

Anyway, yea I don't regret buying mine. Check out the game "Flower" that recently came out. I read a lot of great reviews on it.

Ha ha, I love that song. I set up a media server to listen to all my music and videos. I have about 500GB of music and most of is in FLAC format. With the way the economy is, a gaming console is a cheap way of entertaining ourselves.

I have a media server set up on my PC. Once you have an application set up that shares your content, the PS3 will be able to see it.

Using Media Player 11. The easiest setup if you have Vista.
Code: Select all
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158357

PS3 Media server
Code: Select all
http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/

Good site that shows different types of software you can use to set up a media server and how to's.
Code: Select all
http://www.rbgrn.net/diy/content/4-how-set-up-media-servers-for-your-ps3-or-xbox-360

Hope that helps.

That is cool, husband was able to hook up to all the music on his computer. Figured out how to add other songs and pictures. Said it just has to be on the right file folder on the computer, he also said not every file works, there was some file incompatibility. But other then that, all is good.

I have a question, we are trying to hook up me and account with a new avatar on the playstation. But we are stuck, it came up with an error. Especially when I tried putting in the same address as my husband has on his account.

Hmm, never tried using two user accounts, but I think you can only use one "master" account. Let me see if I can the article I was reading on that.

Yes husband downloaded all of the games I mentioned. It is cool having them on the ps3 without having to go to the store to buy disks to keep track of.

There is a computer game available on PS3 it is called Worms, and it is the coolest game ever. I recommend that everyone check out this game. It is an army of worms trying to kill each other off. You can use grenades you can use baseball bat, even air strike and homing missile. Check it out.

'worms' is quite an old game... it was first released in the mid 90s... first played it on pc and you are right it's such a fun game to play, especially with friends... haven't tried it on ps3 though and in fact i haven't played it for ages but i'm sure the fun factor is still there on the ps3 version... i have a wii and up until now, i still play mario kart, it's a whole lot of fun.... :)
