Remarks: Hey all,

I was logged in to my Amex account online, I have a regaular Amex Green, and there is a section called "Card Benefits". In that section there is an "Upgrade to Platinum" link. Does anyone know if that is just a standard link or is it personalized to my account. Point being, are they asking me if I'm interested in upgrading because they have looked at my account and credit history and they think I qualify? or is it just a standard link in everyones online account?

I have the Blue Card and I always see a link to upgrade to the Gold. I have also been flooded with offers VIA website and regular mail for the Platinum Card. So to answer your question, I think everyone eventually gets an invite to upgrade if you handle your account correctly.
