Credit card issuers have bounded into this holiday season with some of the best rewards offers we've seen in years. Chase Freedom lands at the top of the list this month with a stackable bonus that can net you a quick $225 by the end of the year. First-time Chase cardholders can earn an extra $100 cash reward for spending $500 within 90 days, bringing your potential rebate for this no annual fee card to $325.

Every three months, Chase Freedom cardholders can register online for a series of rotating promotions that promise 5 percent cash back on up to $1,500 in eligible purchases. This quarter, Chase announced plans to extend 5 percent discounts for purchases at popular big box retailers Best Buy and Kohl's, as well as on bookings made directly with hotels and airlines.

Double-dip discounts at Kohl's

The biggest reason Chase Freedom's seasonal rewards offer outpaces the competition involves another one of the card's benefits: bonus rebates when you shop through the Ultimate Rewards online mall. Chase's partnership with Kohl's gives cardholders a 10 percent cash back reward on eligible online purchases.

According to posts on bulletin boards and blogs, cardholders see the 10 percent reward post to their rewards statements about two weeks after their shipments arrive. So, with the quarterly promotion, that's a 15 percent rebate on up to $1,500 in purchases before the end of the year. When combined with Kohl's online coupons, Kohl's Cash rebates, and free shipping deals, Chase's cash back credit card can practically double your spending power this holiday season.

Squeezing the most from airline and hotel booking discounts

Even if you're the kind of traveler who normally books itineraries through discount travel websites or through a travel agent, don't dismiss this offer. Just use travel apps, like Kayak or Hipmunk, that connect directly to vendors' websites instead of using an intermediary. You can still compare prices, track fare drops, and book flights on multiple airlines while claiming your 5 percent rebate.

Remember to enroll for your seasonal rebate promotion at Chase Freedom's website, otherwise you won't get full credit for your purchases. If you want to hunt for even bigger savings, check out Chase's Ultimate Rewards website for opportunities to redeem your points for discounted merchandise and exclusive experiences instead of cash.
