New Credit Card Rewards Programs by American Express Target Young Adults in Metropolitan Areas
By Lydia Verret, CardRatings.com Reporter

American Express recently launched the IN:CHICAGO Card and the IN:LA Card. The release of both cards follows the successful launch of the IN:NYC Card earlier this year. All three cards are designed to appeal to young adults living in or around Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City. The cards offer a one-of-a-kind local rewards program tied to highly sought after attractions, including popular restaurants, trendy night clubs, concerts and cultural events.
The cards are accepted at any establishment that welcomes the American Express Card. Cardholder benefits include no annual fee, 0% introductory APR on balance transfers for six months and the option of carrying a balance.
Through the INSIDE Rewards program, cardmembers can earn double points for every dollar spent at participating restaurants, movie theaters, cell phone service providers, cable and satellite television service providers, dial-up Internet service providers, gym memberships and magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Cardmembers earn one point for each dollar spent on all other purchases, whether at home or in another city. Points earned have no expiration date and there is no limit to the amount of points you can earn. Another unique feature is that points cardmembers earn can be redeemed in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles.
More details about each card, including a listing of the Reward Partners in each city, are available in the Card Reports section of our website.
