For your information, I repeat: my budget allowed me to be in black every month, so there's no real difference between me using my check card and a credit card, since I PIF anyway.

Even so, I think I have the need to look at interests, even I don't carry on balances.

DEBIT can cost you MORE than you have in your checking account

If you're using a debit card, you're using your own money. Get a cc. Check out what Citi or Chase , or even your CU have to offer. Don't wait. Build your credit and history now. Don't wait till you really need it. Good luck.

Speaking of, do you think it's advisible to apply for more than one card in this stage? I'm NOT using the other card.
