Money Tips: Carry at Least Three Credit Cards?

Has anyone ever gone into a store or restaurant that does not take AMEX, so you pull out a Visa or Mastercard (your #2 card), and it doesn’t scan or work, and you have only those two cards? How do you pay then (I don’t do debit cards)?

I am trying to tell my wife that having a third card (MC or Visa) in your wallet for just such an emergency is a good idea, even if you hardly ever use it.

Actually, I don’t think that this is a rare instance, and it happens more than we think.

I carry at least 3 cards at a time for this one reason.

i always carry at least 10 cards to be safe
