How Many Cards Can You Have From One Bank? For Example, since Bank Of America is Buying Other Banks, I just wanted to know how many cards are you allowed from the same company, if there is such a rule

Bank of America has no limit on the amount of cards that you can have.

It's either (i) one, or (ii) as many as the bank will issue you before the sum of your credit lines exceed a certain threshold (determined by the bank).

There really isn't any "rule" that limits the amount of plastic you can get from one bank. Let's say you're with CapOne. Capital One loves to issue many cards with small credit lines: you can have ten trades with that bank and still be under $10,000! MBNA is (was) a different story: they issue few(er) cards per consumer, but the credit lines tend to be pretty generous since MBNA/BoA is a prime bank.
