if this is your first card that you have had with Chase, i'm gonna guess $1000

I'd certainly look to you, evil, for a strong call on this. However, I would have expected that Chase would take a modest lead from the existing Citi line and go with at least $2K. No?

Did you tell chase what your income is? That's critical in determing credit limit.

Anyway Citi Dividend usually has low limits, so I'd say Chase will give a bigger credit limit. $4500.
