Don't talk about "transferring" points. Get the card you want and sign it up for rewards. Link both cards online and make the new one the primary one. Then you have an established rewards account--and BOTH cards are enrolled in it and the point totals show. Then cancel the other one. The points remain in the rewards account.
You can also transfer the points to the partner airline of your choice to use later...

Get what ever the 25,000 points will get...I don't think you can move them to another account
(There is a slight chance I could be wrong since it is a "CHARGE" card)
BEFORE you dump green...apply for BLUE

You should get the short form
(way less questions)
You will NOT be able to TRADE cards
