Amex likes to see at least 24 months of credit history to approve the application, so you need to wait at least 6 months before you apply again and make sure that your fico score is more than 730. If you use truecredit then whatever score they show, deduct 40-60 points. Don’t apply for anything in the mean time because that will make you look desperate for credit.

i applyed and was approved for 2 amex cards.. amex clear and amex blue. 0% on purchases for 6 months and 3.99% /4.99% respectably for BT’s for the life of the balance.
both CL’s at $2,000, pulled Equifax. Score at the time was 681.

This is a YMMV situation. I got approved for amex with less than 12 months history.
Go ahead and apply, you never know what may happen until you do. If yu get rejected, call them and ask for a reconsideration…thats all.
Also keep in mind that the approval qualifications for some cards may be higher than others.
Also try pulling your credit report and see if there is any derogotory info, excessive inquiries etc which may lead to their computer systems auto denying you, whereby maybe a human can bend a bit more.
Good Luck.
