I have excellent credit and I used to get offers for low fixed rate balance transfers until paid in full and I would just toss them. Now I am looking for such an offer. Can anyone tell me where I can find an offer like this?

Call credit card companies or go to their websites to see what offers are available.. If you have balances that you are looking to transfer, most of them would be more than willing to do it for you providing your credit is ok

While we are on this topic, I was wondering what kind of luck everyone has had out of these "life of the balance" transfers. I'm aware that being late on a payment would be reason for jacking the rate up, but just in general, how has it worked for everyone and which card is the best for this?

I currently have a balance of about 4400.00 on an amex blue (from my wedding). Right now the rate is 0% until March of 07. I also owe about 1550.00 on a home equity line of credit through CountryWide, with a variable rate, but with the current balance adds up to $16 and some change each month for interest. I do have the money to pay off both of these, but it would leave a big dent and I'd rather not do that.

Id like to transfer both of these balances to one of the "life of the balance" cards with a low interest rate and low/or no balance transfer fee. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

amex has 2 that i know of because i was approved.. amex blue and amex clear. i think the clear is 3.99% for the life of the balance and the amex blue is 4.99% and no fee on the BT.
