If you wanted an answer right away, you should have gone to the store and done it in person. I guess you will have to wait or pick up the phone and ask them. Not very many benefits to owning a macys card btw..I have the elite card and it's nothing to get excited about.

Macy's seems to give easy approval to those who go in the store and apply in person.
I have had a Macy's card for a while, with a good limit, but I have read that the approval seems to be easy, but some are stuck with low limits.

Based on the e-mail, that hasn't been decided yet--you'll be notified when a decision is made. Isn't that what it says?
Whether it's true or not is a different question. If you don't want to wait, call and ask what the status is.
I would just wait and see what happens. For me, calling about such things seems a bit too anxious or desperate. But that's just me; may not seem that way at all to Macy's credit department.

Novaboy: Welcome to the so strange world of Credit Cards.
I have known some of store/gas card companies that will deny you for a $800-1000 limit, but a bank will give you $10,000.00
