Ok... so NOW I find out another problem with AMEX. I bought groceries, and I went to pay with my Blue Cash card, since it specifically offers 5% back at grocery stores, and my local market (Winn Dixie) said that all American Express cards require voice authorization there! That is ridiculous and so inconvenient. I ended up just using debit.

So they don't "REALLY" take AMEX then
They sort of "FORCE" in the sale by phone authorizations

Oh and not to mention that the website for your account is USELESS... It does not show any recent transactions or temp authorizations or anything. It shows that the "available credit" is reduced, but then it says "no activity" under recent transactions... blah.

I don't care that they don't post "PENDING" charges
They show up in a day or two
AND I KNOW HOW MUCH I BOUGHT TO THE $0.01
AND I KNOW WHAT CHARGES ARE DIRECT BILLED EVERY MONTH TO THE CREDIT CARD
