I recently was approved for 2 cards and awaiting a letter decision on another. heres a little more info.

Card 1: Amazon.com Chase Visa Card
——————————————–
Credit Limit: $4,000 (called on activation to request CLI as suggested by the CSR and was declined.. asked for $10,000) CSR also said in her own way that even though they do 6 month reviews they go buy if you pay on time and what your balances are. I dont know whether that means what my balance have been in the past(High Credit) or what my balances are at time of CLI review. It almost sounds like you have to pay them interest in order to get a CLI which is totally and ethically wrong IMO.

Perks: 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers until January 2007

no annual fee
3 points for every dollar spent on amazon.com
1 point for every dollar spent everywhere else

2,500 points = $25 Amazon.com Gift Certificate - - i know this sucks but at least its something, anyway i didnt get it for that, i got it for the 0% APR.

They did a pull on Equifax. FICO - 673. does chase pull any other CB?

Card #2: Bank Of America Rewards American Express
—————————————————————-
Credit Limit: $3,600

the card is here: http://www.bankofamerica.com/creditcards/?template=amexrewards_visa_clear&adlink=000302005k660000e564

Perks:
——–
1. 0% APR on BT and cash advances until August 2007. I am still waiting on the card so the 12 months starts when i open the account. It is 0% APR for 12 months. So either July/August 2007 timeframe. After the 12 months then the standard APR is 7.9% for purchases, BT’s and Cash advances. If i go over my limit or am ever late then the default APR(up to 24.99%) will be incurred on my account.

2. $50 Statement Credit if you make a purchase within the first 45 days of opening the account.(good deal)

They pulled Experian. FICO is ???. do they pull other CB’s? I dont know the FICO but its at least 673. Its always been higher than my equifax. if i had to guess i would say 680 - 685.

if 7.9% bad? it sounds like that they are not even counting prime or its just 7.9% regardless of prime. this part confuses me.

3. this card: http://www.bankofamerica.com/creditcards/?template=choice_plat_visa

i applied but they said they would send me a letter. so we will see what happens. dunno how i can be approved 10 minutes earlier and then declined on this one. anyone have an idea? Anyway this one as you see doesnt have a fee for intro BT’s which is good.

****************EDIT************************
UPDATE: Just checked the choice priviledges account to see if they made a decision and they HAVE! Initial CL is $4,000. now i can use that card for 3 free hotel nights that i will need in a couple of weeks.(OOPS, looks like the points dont show up until after 4 - 6 weeks! bummer). anyway, i should get the card in about a week.

Thats $11,600 in 1 days work of applications..not bad i would say considering i am used to getting measly $500 and $1000 credit limits. Things are looking up.
******************************************************

anyway do any of you have these cards? if so what do you think?

In general for everyone how do you like BOA? customer service? CLI’s? etc.

anyway things are up and up. On Experian i now have a CLEAN record. 0 derogatory. Equifax 2 derogs(very old) and TU the same.

THANKS!
