Hey Girlie,
I have 3 citi c ards , the first one gave me way higher limit than the last two ,but you can always allocate, except with chase they wanted to hit me with a hard inquiry….i would suggest you apply for either the aadvantage platinum world card by citibank , or the mercedes benz card by bank of america , they gave me a high credit limit….by the way i got approved for the us airways visa signature 2 days ago ….10000 cl…..my mercedes card is now 19500 cl….so its still a decent limit even if you get more than one card..
good luck

Girlie, MBNA is really good about letting you reallocate credit lines. Bad news is that I’m not aware of any really juicy 0% deals with them (i’ve seen some with uncapped BT fees, yuck).

Thanks Spjoink - I may be able to combine some limits if I look at a boa card like the Mbenz card too. I am gonna mull it over a bit.
Easy Rhino - yeh i fell into that trap last year… but I was able to soften the blow a bit. While they have no cap, if you are really nice to their credit analysts they are pretty flexible about waving the fee. My initial BT costed me….but the ones I did right after my app were all free. All that said, I didn’t realize some companies have caps and some dont until I went to do my BT with MBNA- so thats something I look at more carefully before applying!

Personally I just love logging on to a CC website and managing multiple accounts in that one location. I have three with Citi, four with Chase, one with MBNA (oldest acct I have) and an AMEX one that I cannot be bother to set up online.
