Anyone have this card?

Do you like it?

Is it really 5% back on gas?

Cuz.....

Yea baby.... I just applied online and GOT IT !!!!!

Thats just leaves AMEX for my total credit recovery ( or at least getting all the cards I once had back)

But I think I'll wait a while on the AMEX thing.

Hey IRA, I;m sure my recent applications dropped my credit score - AND I DON'T CARE !!!! Are ya proud of me?

Congrats. I have 2 discover cards (home improvement and get more). The get more program starting for april 1 is gas and auto., so that might be a better deal than the gas card alone if you need any car repair/main. I use my chase and citi cards for gas and groceries, but probalby will switch one of my cards to gas when they discontinue the home improvement card along with the restaurant cards.

Congrats Tom! Let us know how you like the card and if you actually get the 5% rebate. Don't think it applies to wholesale club/discount store purchases, though.

Before I switched my Discover card to the restaurant rewards card (no longer available to new applications), I had the gasoline rewards card. I can't say about gas stations at discount stores (WMT/Sam's Club or Costco), and I always paid at the pump, but it worked just fine for me at regular gas stations.

It does look like they changed the tiers since I had the card. The 5% cash back is only on the first $1200 in gasoline purchases ($60 cash back) before dropping to the regular rate of 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1% for the first $1500, second $1500, and over $3000 in [all] annual purchases, respectively. The catch is that purchases made at select warehouse clubs, discount stores and their affiliates earn only 0.25%

However, I've switched to the Chase Rewards Plus card. It has the same reward structure as Chase Cash Plus and Citi Dividend, but has a limit of $750 cash back per year versus $300 per year for the others.

I may switch to the Chase Rewards Plus card also. Do you think they will let me switch my Chase Cash Rewards card to that one?

I had called and asked if I could do that but they said they couldn't. I had to resort to opening a new account.
