Contact www.onecall.com. This is a high end camera store called Huppins in Spokane, WA. If you buy anything over $300.00 you are eligible for their store card through GE Credit which gives you one year at zero interest to pay. I got my Nikon digital SLR there and couldn’t be happier with them. Great telephone advice on what to buy to fit your needs also.

Thanks Ira! I’ll check them out!

Thankfully the card that I want to use has a 0% interest on balance tranfers for 12 months and no Bt fee. I’ll buy on a rewards card that will give me 55 back on electronics purchased for business and then Bt to this new card.

to buy something that you normally wouldn’t buy and make payment on the item till the 0% promo runs out?

What do you all think..is this a stupid or smart idea?

I’m doing something similar. I have 12 months 0% APR on purchases on my latest CC aquisition. I’m paying the minimum but putting the rest in Emigrant Direct. As long as I make a full payment before the end of the 0% APR offer, I consider it an interest free loan on stuff I would have PIF anyway and pocket the interest earned in the meantime. The trick, as I see it, is making sure I know exactly when the last day of the offer is and be sure to PIF before that day.

I normally do not use the 0% on purchases because it makes you consider spending more than normally would. I probably will be doing a large roofing job and might see if I can get a retention offer on my existing discover home improvement card (would like to get 0% for 6-12 months).
