I did earlier this year. I used to have State Farm for years until I found Allstate to have a lower premium. I was also able to get Allstate's road service and still be below what State Farm was charging. Who did you find to be cheapest and are you happy with service?

We use Shelter, but should shop around. How much are you paying if you don't mind me asking?

Well, I used to pay 344.00 every 6 months with State Farm and then I changed to Allstate with same deductibles, same coverage and now pay 255.00 every six months and that includes the Allstate Road Service. So I'm thinking I'm savings couple hundred a year....not too shabby.

I'm a true believe in shopping around and saving money.

I always shop around for virtually everything. I have been with Geico ever since they reentered the New Jersey market. They are consistently well below the market. I am a member of several groups which have negotiated lower rates with major insurers and Geico is still considerably below even the negotiated discounted rates. For my 2004 Taurus with full collision I am paying $425.00 every six months. I had a minor billing problem when I switched cars a few months ago, but it was quickly cleared up. Thankfully I cannot comment on their claims service.
