Does anyone know how often you need to use a card with a $14,500 limit to keep it active? Also, is there any dollar amount that should be charged? This is basically a "stay at home, sock drawer" card for emergencies or in case my wallet gets stolen.

Store Credit Card Finance Charges in Error

I'm not happy with the service from Customer service. Twice I have called & was told the system was down but would take care of the problem. Well guess what they didn't so now I have to make a 3rd call to straighten it out. We bought something that was not to have finance charges if paid off in by a certain date. We did this way in advance, but we were charged finance charges. Customer service couldn't explain why & said would adjust off. This hasn't been done and it is going on 3 months. I worry it will reflect on my credit report! Will never buy from the store offering this card again!

Post subject: Credit Card High Monthly Payment Practices

I recently signed up for a CapitalOne credit card. Huge mistake. I took advantage of a great introductory offer -- or so I thought -- for 0% for some time and balance transfers up to $30,000. What was not aparent in their agreement was that they would demand 5% of the total balance each month! As a result, I must now pay $900 per month because I transferred a $300 per month loan to their card. Although their call center representatives are sympathetic, they are not able to reduce the monthly payment at all. After several tries to lower this amount, I am resorting to warning you. Beware of CapitalOne's fine print. You may be thinking their offering a great deal, but you may find yourself in dire straits if you accept their offer. Watch out for the Vikings. They'll take your entire wallet.
