AJ,

Is that for all their platinum products?

Mine was issued through Sam’s. It’s due to be renewed in the coming months. We’ll see.

Speaking of Discover (and btw, last time I logged in to discovercard.com, there was a note saying that Platinum cards have been renamed Discover More cards), there is a question I’ve been thinking about lately. How on earth can they do all of these 5% cash back offers? As far as I know, their interchange fee is <2%, so that can't be where the 5% is coming from. So then I thought it must all be cross-promotions with different merchants, but I find that kind of hard to believe considering who they have partnered with. For example, you can get 5% cash back at the Apple store. Apple almost never offers promotions. If I buy a MacBook Pro for $2000, that is a full $100 Discover is giving me. Whose $100 is that!?
