Post subject: BoA Visa Signature WorldPoints no more???
I wonder if anyone knows anything about this... Today I went to BoA's site to apply for BoA Visa Signature WorldPoints, but it was nowhere to be found on the "view all cards" page... However, if you went to their home page you could see it advertised right there under "Products" column with a "learn more" link that takes you to an online app form at wwwn.applyonlinenow.com ... I'm kinda concerned with it having vanished from the "all cards" page, so thought to postpone my application until I figure out what's wrong with it... A google search doesn't point directly to BoA's site either... (it used to list BoA on the top a couple days ago)... So I wonder if it's just a computer glitch or something or they are going to discontinue it. Removed the card first, then will remove the ad too... Any ideas??

They've never had it listed in the "view all cards" list. The only mentions of it I've seen on their website is the occassional ad like the one they've had on their homepage the last few days.
I have this card. I highly doubt they'd discontinue it anytime soon because they just came out with it back in the fall.

I didn't know this.... However, even a couple days ago googling would take to BoA's site where they had a description like for their other cards, but now BoA doesn't even appear in google results.. Also, when if you go from that little ad on their home page to the application form, you find signature accounts APR at 9.99%, just like that for platinum plus, while if you go from any other site, e.g. www.ncbuy.com - you're taken to the same application site, but signature is now at 7.99%. That app site assigns different letters at the end of the URL depending on which site you came in. The first part of the address stays the same... That's really weird.. 7.99% thing was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to have it. Now what? I might end up with 9.99 for signature?? I'm not sure that even if I apply from 7.99% page, I won't get 9.99...Any ideas on this new problem??

Back when I was researching the card, I saw several different APR offers. That's not unusual for BOA and other issuers.
If you apply on the 7.99%. I'd think you'd get that rate. The rate on mine is 13% because I converted from another BOA card. I wasn't concerned about APR much anyway because I PIF, although I do plan sometime this year to seek APR decreases on all of my cards just for the heck of it(and I have nothing else left to do in regards to personal credit)
Be aware that this card does not report credit limit to the CRAs.

Not necessarily so. Most have 3 tiers. If you look at the fine print you’ll see it says “your APR will be determined upon review of your credit report” or something to that effect

FWIW, that's not the case with Chase. Some "pre-approved" offers go out with only 8.9% offered ... others offer 8.9% (in big huge type), with higher rates to be considered if you don't qualify for 8.9% (disclosed as a modest footnote).
The first type of offer has been carefully pre-screened (they have your FICO pretty well pegged). If you aren't approved upon closer scrutiny, you'll simply be declined flat out.
The second type has only been generally screened and your name has been likely fed to Chase by a CRA has part of a bulk selection. Fail to be approved for 8.9% and they'll simply issue one at a higher rate.
Our story (previously shared) is that last summer, after having our mailbox flooded for the 8.9% pre-screened offer among others, I went fishing for an application for my wife when I decided we could use an addition bt card. I wasn't paying attention and selected one of the "we'll pick a rate for you" V Sig offers. Sure enough, Bev was approved for an alternate card at 19.99%.
At about the same time she receives a new V Sig 8.9% offer (with no alternate rate suggested). I call to ask that her current account terms be revised accordingly. No go. So I make the application ... and she's approved for 8.9% F.
