this just happened to me

C.C. Issuer?: Discover Miles Card
Existing Limit?: $8,000
Increase Approved?: Yes
New Credit Limit:? $10,000
New Credit Bureau Pulled?: Yes
If So, Which Credit Bureau?: Experian
FICO?: 760

I called to request the CLI, the CSR said NO HARD PULL. she gave a $750. increase. well she did pull, i called CSR back, talk to a supervisior, she said, "I'M sorry sir, i'll bump it to $10k. i can also offer you another 2000 miles for the inconvience. i said yes. and thank you. she was very nice about it.

I've always wondered why some credit cards have a different limit for cash advances.
