Dont do it AJ...Its a hard pull with Chase on the form and you would be better served with more limit simply applying for another Chase card.

I cant see swapping a hard pull for $1500-$2000....Aint worth it to me.

Two years with my Chase rewards card= No CLI?.

Started at 5K....Stayed at 5K. Tried running er' up to 4K and then payed er' to zero still no Luv'. Tried calling and asking for some soft pull luvin'...No luck as CSR claimed they needed to pull hard.

Tired of fooling' with the card after its 0% party was over and applied for the Freedom card. Approved online instantly for 6.5K.....Called Chase the day the card arrived and transfered all but 500 bucks of the old rewards card over to the new Freedom. End result was 1 hard pull for 6.5K worth of fresh Chase limit at 0% for 12 months...11K after reallocation. Ask for a 6.5K limit increase with Chase on your exsisting card???? Dunno....seems like a stretch to me.

I don't get it. Why are Chase and Citi such "hard guys" when it comes to CL increases???? I've gotten large increases from AMEX and BofA without ANY hard pull. You would think that Chase and Citi would want to stay competitive.

I agree with Chaz on this one, don't bother trying for a CLI with Chase.

Before I found this site, I tried to CLI two different cards with them, and gave me hards each time. And what did I get in return? Not a CLI!

I've had better luck with Citi - started at $1500, CLI to $3000 8 months after opening, and luv button to $4000 six months after that.

They make the form seem so easy and simple. Well, I combined my 2 chase cards that I was approved for in less than 5 months. I did like my buddy CHAZ recommended. I called on activation day and made two cards into one. 21,600. Zero percent P & BT until April 2008, 8.9 fixed after. And the pre approvals keep coming in. If chase wishes to increase my limit on their own, then fill my cup! Let it over flow with luv. I Dare Not Make A Request
