Since the Citi Dividend card went away, I was thinking of trading it for the Shell Mastercard. I don’t really need another 5% EDP card since I have AMEX cashback and can live with the $6500 tier.
Does anybody have any experience with the Shell Mastercard? I figure that the Citi Dividend card would get sockdrawered forever. At least with the Shell Mastercard, my card tradeline and history with Citi would stay open, and I could use it from time to time for Shell gas at 5%.
Any input would be appreciated.

I have had the Shell Master Card for a couple of years now and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I have calculated the rebates and they are right on the money. It’s nice to get your gas rebate back every month.
You might also look at the BP Amoco Credit Card. They have revised their rebates, 5% on gas, 2% restaurants, motels, car rentals, etc. and 1% on anything else. You can get a check for $25.00 or gift card when you reach that point. They also have a promotion going - first two billing periods are double rebates, a $40.00 gift card after you use it the first time and a $35.00 gift card if you spend $1,000 in a three month period.
