Post subject: "OASIS" program offerd by NCO for Amex

Anyone ever hear of an "Oasis " program by Amex/NCO that supposingly allows you to get another account with Amex(I think an Optima) after you pay off a delinquent account?
THis has been offered to me but I think it is a tactic for full payment..I am paying in full anyways but wondered if this was a true "deal" offered by Amex
Thanks in Advance
Grey

OASIS is real

THEIR CALL...NOT YOURS

You don't ask them...THEY ASK YOU

(as far as I know)

Yes, what they are doing it making a new contract and renewing the statute of limitations. But since you are paying anyway, it is a benefit to you then to have a new account to start over with and rebuild.

Capital One has been using this tactic for a few years now, and I am sure that more are yet to follow.
