I've been with Patelco for a year and a half. They pull Experian. I don't know how they are with derogatories but your credit limit will be largely determined by proof of income.

I've never had any problems with them. The reps have always been accomodating. Their website, transfers, etc have always gone smooth. I have the savings account, 1% cash-back Mastercard and an auto loan @ 5.2%.

PROOF OF INCOME in advance is their big deal

I have never been asked by any BANK for proof of income in 30+ years

On the plus side you can usually apply for more than one credit product with the same inquiry for like 90 days

BUT AFTER 90 DAYS THEY MUST PULL THE HARD WAY AGAIN FOR A SIMPLE CLI

Both my credit unions ask for proof of income. I think it's the norm with most CUs.

Yeah, the EX pull for a CLI sucks. No CLI is worth another EX inq to me. I have 7 showing until next year, the bulk of those from my 2 CUs.

I became a member by signing up for a savings account online. I didn't claim any affiliation(i just hit next). I funded the account EFT from my bank. A month or 2 later, I applied for the MC.
