Do Credit Card Checks Yield Point Rewards?

Post subject: Credit card checks = frequent flyer miles
I use credit card checks (0% offers for transfers, etc.) to pay for imported business supplies because my contacts can't accept credit card payments. Is there any way I can get FLYER MILES from these transactions?

NO
Not unless it was a "SPECIAL" check that gets miles
THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE REAL SPECIAL
I (personally) WOULD HAVE LOOKED FOR ANOTHER WAY TO USE THE CREDIT CARD (as in a simular business)

The discover business card makes purchase checks available which apparently earn a small cash back amount (.25% I think). This is the only CC check I'm aware of that gets awards.

Yup, you are pretty out of luck my friend. Think like a bank. Imagine you are a doctor with a $100,000 credit line using an access check. I'm giving you either free or dirt cheap money on that transfer... i.e. I'm quite probably losing money on that loan. Now you want me to send you on a safari to Africa for your 100,000 miles to boot? Not likely.
I have heard of only one exception. Some airline card (can't remember which... maybe Alaska Air) had a deal about a year ago for opening a brand new top of the line account. The offer was by invitation only and carried an $85 annual fee plus a $75 balance transfer fee. But when you did any BT over $25,000 upon opening the account you got 15,000 bonus miles plus 0.5 miles per dollar transfered. One of my clients transfered the $70,000 balance he had on his MBNA card to this one and got a nice first class ticket out of it. Not bad for a $160 investment. Hence, its exceedingly rare. If you ever do find one... do please share with the group!

Thats a pretty sweet deal. I have a question along the same line. I recently opened a citi checking account, have a citi diamonds reward card with a $23,500 credit line, overdraft protection. The limit to the amount of thank you points for my account is 75,000 per year. I recently received an offer for 5 points for each dollar spent from citi on all purchases for the next three months. I really want to maximize the amount of points. The only way I can earn points is on purchases? Has anyone figured out how to work Citi to thier advantage?
