Post subject: Discover Credit Line Increase

Does anyone know how long you have to have a Discover Card before you can be considered for a line increase? And can you ask for an increase online?

I’m not sure the timeline for Discover but they seem more strict than most creditors. Anytime I have called they granted my request but it is always a small amount even when I used it as my main card. I try and call about every 6 or so months. You might as well try today and see what they can do.

Discover card does not have an online option for CLI. You have to call.

Typically its 9 months before you can get a CLI.

I dont get auto. increases….but I dont use the cards a lot… I called up and got 1500 increase on each of my 2 cards without a credit report pull….

I have two cards. They call me every year and offer me a low rate BT and a CLI. My limits with them are $15,500 and $5,000.
