Credit Tips: Denial and Then Instant Approval for Credit Card

Post subject: Amex-really weird!

I applied for an Amex Blue 3 months ago, got denied. I just applied Aug.13th, and got approved! My credit line is only $2,000.

I guess I’m wondering why I got approved this time!

My trans-union score is 644. I wonder if they pulled Experian?

I dont know…maybe tell us what the rejection letter said from 3 months ago

my guess is that your credit profile improved….maybe not…

The requirements aren’t exactly fico based, they are also income based, and many other attributes are calculated.

It is very possible that based on the average card holder income decreased that thier previous calculations are reconsidered
