Can somebody explain to me what the Optima Platinum card is and why it is different than a blue card for example?

Post subject: American Express Optima Platinum Credit Card Review

The Optima card is a standard AmEx charge card. It has a credit limit, you can carry a balance, you can sign it up for a rewards program for a fee if you choose. It's nothing special in my opinion.
