Wells Fargo Credit Card Review

Post subject: Wells Fargo Credit
I recently applied for a W.F. Prime Rate Card-Denied
They sent me a Platinum card w/ 5000 CL
However the APR is 22.10%
My credit scores range between 734-747 (No negatives).
I have not activated the card. Now I am wondering what I should do.
Should I keep the card and not use it or just close the account or just not activate the card. Called C.S. and they refused to lower the rate.

By the way this card "accidentally" ended up in the shredder!

There's no fee for the card, so there's no reason not to keep it. Some day WF might offer you a good offer on it. Keep it. Can't hurt you, might help you.
I have my two main checking accounts and a savings account at WF. I've had those accounts for 12 years now. When I applied for this card three years ago, I was turned down flat. Made no sense to me then or now. Go figure!

dont worry about the shredder. Call them up and tell them it has a faulty magnetic strip and need a replacement card.

Thank you for your replies. I guess I will keep it. I just can't believe that APR though. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw that!

It doesn't sound very "Platinum", does it?
I just got recently got a WF card from a pre-approval mailer. It's prime + 6.9% (14.65). I mainly just got it for the 9 months of 0% promo, though.

Keep the card. It wont hurt you since theres no annual fee's. If there is then dump it. Ya 22% is kind of high but its better then my providan platinum. 24.99 %. Aint that a nice number.
