Credit Tips: Tips on Finding a New Credit Card

Post subject: Need to find a new card

I called Amex today to cancel my One card. Which was pretty easy, but when I told them that I have a Amex Blue Cash card that I use they asked if I carry a balance, which I don’t. She told the I would not get get cash back. Is this true? If so I did a new card. Any recommendations? I run about $2000 balance that I pay off each month. Thanks, Don

I’m confused here. You don’t have to carry a balance to get cash back! You were misinformed. If you do decide to apply for a card, you can comparison shop here:

I just got off the phone with Amex Blue about Cash Back. I was misinformed. You do not have to carry a balance in order to get cash back. Guess they were just lying to keep me from canceling my Amex One card, didn’t work… Thanks
